On February 19-22, 2009, more than 400 student leaders from universities across the southeast will convene in Chattanooga for the Association of Student Advancement Programs District 3 Conference (ASAP D3). Student participants represent various student organizations (student alumni associations, student foundations, student ambassadors, etc.) whose goal is to help in the advancement of their university.
Students involved in ASAP organizations are motivated by love for the universities they represent. Their organizations recruit students, raise funds, keep alumni involved and/or promote traditions and school spirit.
The District 3 Conference is being hosted by the Student Alumni Council (SAC) at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at the Downtown Chattanooga Marriott and Chattanooga Convention Center . The conference gives students an opportunity to network with people from other schools as well as learn new ways to improve the service they offer their colleges and communities. They will also learn professional and leadership skills. The conference schedule includes networking activities, student-hosted seminars, motivational speakers, a lip sync competition, an awards banquet, entertainment event, a dance and other fun activities.
Please visit the Conference Website for more details and information pertaining to the 2009 ASAP District 3 Conference.
See you in Chattanooga!

As current students, the SAC members serve as ambassadors to the University by offering support and providing volunteer assistance to UTC and the Office of Alumni Affairs. As official student representatives for UTC, SAC Ambassadors pledge their loyalty to the University's goals of serving the community by preparing our student body through academic, athletic, recreational and civic engagement opportunities. SAC also serves as the leadership team for The UTC Future Alumni Members (The FAM).
